Hey Dear Readers,
I apologize for the lack of updates for the past few weeks. I've been moving to a new apartment, and between theatre performances and bouldering, I haven't been able to spend as much quality time with my computer as I would've liked.
I'll be back soon, don't you worry 'bout a thing,

MiceAdvice: Raw Input
"Why do I perform better with m_rawinput 0?" [src]
This in-depth section will consist of tips and information on gaming mice and their settings, that a casual gamer might not even have to think about, but will still benefit from. Last week we covered finding your perfect sensitivity, considered ways of improving consistency and grazed the subject of different mouse gripping styles. If you haven't, please go read through that post, because it has relevant information to this one.

This week we're looking into raw input, and the advantages of using it. I will define some terms for you, tell the commands that affect your mouse movement in-game, inform you about a program that helps you obtain raw input, and the specific variables that my own mouse handling consists of. So without further ado, these are the terms used when considering mouse movement:

NewbCamp: Finding Your Perfect Sensitivity and Being Consistent
"Struggling with Consistency, Need Help" [src]
Consistency is one of the main problems players face when they start getting better. 'How can't I hit a thing today, but yesterday my aim was top-notch?' Counter-Strike is a game about variables, but so is life. Today you might be more tired than yesterday. You might've slept less, or maybe haven't had enough to eat. Generally people don't drink enough water. Keep yourself in good shape outside the game, and you'll definitely see the benefits in-game.
After installing Counter-Strike, most players just fiddle around with their sensitivity setting a bit, find one that feels moderately comfortable and then stick with it, giving it a small nudge now and again. This is all cool and dandy, but many a player tweaks their sensitivity mostly when they're not having a consistent day and their aim feels off. It's a bad practice to have, since now that you've fiddled your sensitivity on a bad day, it'll feel off the next time you have a good one.

NewbCamp: The AK-47
"I suck with the AK, send help." [src]
Welcome to NewbCamp, the 101 on skills you need to learn to be an efficient CS MASTER. The NewbCamp series will range from Low, to Medium, to Advanced, all the way to Expert tips, trick and tutorials.
Today we start with one of the most important weapons in-game: the AK-47. It is simultaneously one of the hardest to learn and best weapons in the game. It's relatively cheap, does one-shot headshots (OSHs for short), and requires near-perfect movement/stopping before firing, similar to the deagle. I'll set this guide in the medium range, but mastering these high jinks will get you one step closer to being an Advanced player.

These may include jokes, pictures, and spamming of my Master's stream, which he doesn't stream very often at the moment. Stream.
